# Dee Wan CMS

Documentation revision `903447f1d74348b67db0dbc34302c9553f0de5fb23acaf757e8fc2e89383efe4`. Documentation home: https://dee-wan-docs.pages.dev/

## Find out what Dee Wan does

- Search and read the public documentation through the read-only MCP server at https://dee-wan-docs.pages.dev/mcp: `search_docs`, `read_doc`, `list_docs`.
- Without MCP, read https://dee-wan-docs.pages.dev/llms.txt (index) or https://dee-wan-docs.pages.dev/llms-full.txt (all English pages).
- Answer only from the documentation. When it does not describe a behavior, say that it is undocumented. Do not invent endpoints, fields, roles, limits or defaults.

Check maturity before you promise anything, and see how this agent interface works:

- [1.0 product boundary](https://dee-wan-docs.pages.dev/boundary/): What Dee Wan 1.0 promises and has verified locally, which features are supervised pilots, and which are unavailable. Acceptance on a real Cloudflare account is still pending.
- [Documentation for AI agents](https://dee-wan-docs.pages.dev/guides/docs-for-agents/): The read-only documentation MCP server, llms.txt, llms-full.txt and SKILL.md, and how they differ from management MCP.

## Managed sites and generated standalone backends

Generate a standalone backend you own: Prisma schema, migrations, routes, database and deployment. Its API runs independently; website blog, search, comments and forms [remain connected](https://dee-wan-docs.pages.dev/detachment-contract/#what-still-depends-on-dee-wan).

The CMS public API reflects published changes immediately. Generated APIs and static pages use a snapshot; regenerate and deploy to update them.

A standalone backend is optional. See the [standalone overview](https://dee-wan-docs.pages.dev/guides/standalone-backend/) or [Dee Wan and Strapi](https://dee-wan-docs.pages.dev/reference/strapi-comparison/).

- [Standalone backend: Overview](https://dee-wan-docs.pages.dev/guides/standalone-backend/): What a standalone backend is, how to generate, deliver and deploy it, and when to detach.
- [Standalone backend: API reference](https://dee-wan-docs.pages.dev/reference/standalone-backend-api/): Routes, authentication, read tokens, guards, errors, OpenAPI, deployment and rollback of a standalone backend.
- [Capability matrix](https://dee-wan-docs.pages.dev/reference/capability-matrix/): What the Dee Wan code supports today, checked against source and focused tests, with the code that decides each claim and the test that proves it.

## Read published content

- [Public read API (v1)](https://dee-wan-docs.pages.dev/reference/public-api/): Every endpoint of the public read API v1: parameters, responses, refusals, caching and what is stable. It serves published content by site hostname.
- [Preview and the generated TypeScript client](https://dee-wan-docs.pages.dev/guides/preview-and-client/): Generate a site-scoped public API client and configure a verified draft preview renderer.

## Change content: management API and management MCP

- [CMS management API](https://dee-wan-docs.pages.dev/reference/management-api/): Scoped credentials, commands, conflicts and proposals, plus command-line and MCP access.
- The management MCP runs on each Dee Wan installation and acts with a credential or a signed-in account. The documentation MCP above only reads public documentation.

## Site and permission boundaries

- [People, accounts, roles and access](https://dee-wan-docs.pages.dev/guides/people-and-access/): Add people or invite them to a site, recover accounts and distinguish site roles from deployment authority.
- Act only on the sites and with the permissions the credential grants. A refusal is the answer: do not retry it through another site, account or route.
- Do not read, copy or change content of a site the task did not name.
